Visit to the sugar cane factory

Padmashri Dr. Vithalrae Vikhe Patil, the founder of the Pravara institute started as a humble farmer who created a cooperative sugar cane factory. Yesterday we were able to visit the factory where it all started, including all the subsidy buildings such as the distillery. A byproduct of sugar cane is made from molasses, which is made into liquour.
